Esomeprazole is a type of proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that works by reducing the amount of acid produced by your stomach. It is used alone or in combination with other proton pump inhibitors (epilepsy medications or acid-related pain medications). The company said: "This is not an issue for AstraZeneca as they are very reputable, and there are no complaints made to the relevant authorities. We are aware of the patient's concerns and are working with the relevant authorities to address them."
